Can't Access a Website with VPN

Problem

A specific website is inaccessible or shows an error when SkyDomeVPN is active, but works normally when the VPN is disconnected.

Troubleshooting steps

  1. Try a different server location — some sites block specific IP ranges.
  2. Clear your browser cache and cookies while the VPN is connected.
  3. Disable Threat Protection in SkyDomeVPN settings to check if it is flagging the site.
  4. Try accessing the site in a private/incognito window.
  5. Check if the site itself is down using a status tool like downdetector.com.

Banking and government websites sometimes block VPN IP addresses for fraud prevention. In this case, temporarily disconnecting the VPN is the intended workaround.

Using Split Tunneling

If you need continuous access to a site that blocks VPNs, use Split Tunneling to exclude that site or app from the VPN tunnel while keeping everything else protected.
