What is Split Tunneling?

Split Tunneling lets you choose which apps or websites use the VPN tunnel and which connect directly to the internet. Traffic outside the tunnel uses your real IP; traffic inside is encrypted and anonymized.

Common use cases

• Use the VPN for browsing and streaming, but let your banking app connect directly to avoid fraud flags.
• Protect a specific app (e.g., torrent client) while letting other apps use your normal connection.
• Access local network devices (printers, NAS) while still routing browser traffic through the VPN.

How to configure Split Tunneling

1. Open SkyDomeVPN and go to Settings > Split Tunneling.
2. Enable Split Tunneling.
3. Choose mode: Route selected apps through VPN (include list) or Bypass VPN for selected apps (exclude list).
4. Add apps or websites to your chosen list.
5. Your changes apply to the next connection — reconnect the VPN if it is already active.
