VPN Won't Connect
Problem
SkyDomeVPN fails to establish a connection or gets stuck on "Connecting..." without completing.
Common causes
- Your device's firewall or antivirus is blocking the VPN client.
- The selected server is temporarily overloaded or offline.
- The VPN protocol in use is blocked on your network.
- Your internet connection itself is unstable.
- The app needs an update.
Troubleshooting steps
- Verify your internet connection is working by opening a website without the VPN.
- Try connecting to a different server — tap the server list and choose a different country or city.
- Change the VPN protocol: go to Settings > Protocol and switch from NordLynx to OpenVPN (TCP).
- Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus, attempt to connect, then re-enable it.
- Uninstall and reinstall SkyDomeVPN, then try again.
On corporate or university networks, certain VPN protocols may be blocked. Try OpenVPN (TCP) or contact your network administrator.
Still not working?
Contact SkyDomeVPN support with your connection logs. You can export logs from Settings > Diagnostics > Export Logs.
