Set Up Two-Factor Authentication
Why use 2FA?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second layer of security to your account. Even if someone obtains your password, they cannot log in without access to your authenticator app.
How to enable 2FA
- Log in to your SkyDomeVPN account and go to Settings > Security.
- Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
- Install an authenticator app if you do not have one (Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password work well).
- Scan the QR code shown on the screen with your authenticator app.
- Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app to confirm setup.
- Save your backup codes in a secure location.
Backup codes
When you enable 2FA, you will receive 10 single-use backup codes. Store them safely (password manager or printed copy). If you lose access to your authenticator app, use a backup code to log in.
Each backup code can only be used once. If you use all your backup codes, generate new ones from Settings > Security > 2FA > Regenerate backup codes.
